Packrafting the Rio Pejibaye

Packrafting the Pejibaye River
When the Pejibaye River is running low, it is excellent for packrafting with continuous Class II and III whitewater for the majority of the run. This activity is on trail and lasts about half a day, but if you’re experienced, can be done faster as it’s not that long of a run. This activity is run by Pacuare Outdoor Center.
Where's the Pejibaye
The Rio Pejibaye is located on Stage 7. One of the most famous photo spots on the Camino de Costa Rica is the footbridge that crosses the Pejibaye River. This is located just after Finca CoVaCam at KM 128.3
Nearby accommodations
Finca CoVaCam or Río del Valle Posada Turística are both located close to one of the takeout points for the Rio Pejibaye. You could set up a packrafting tour either the afternoon of your arrival or first thing in the morning, before you get started on the trail.
