Rio Vista Lodge

Rio Vista Lodge is most commonly experienced as part of a Pacuare River rafting journey. The rate listed here, however, is for a single overnight stay with a hike in or out of the canyon. For hikers traveling west from the Caribbean toward the Pacific, arrival is via the cable cart crossing on river left, followed by a short 1.5-kilometer float to the lodge. Guests who include rafting will continue the following day through the Class IV Pacuare Gorge to Siquirres, with onward transport arranged to reconnect with the trail. Those not rafting can hike out of the canyon toward Tres Equis. For hikers traveling east from the Pacific toward the Caribbean, logistics are more straightforward, as the river flows in the same direction. The meeting point is located approximately 1.1 kilometers from Cabañas el Paso del Viento, with the rafting exit in Siquirres, near Hotel Pacuare and about 9 kilometers from Casa Yolanda. This direction also bypasses the indigenous territory section, removing the requirement for an indigenous guide.
